Joel E. Boyd has practiced law in Brevard County since 1978, primarily in the areas of estate planning and administration, business law and transactions, real estate transactions, and tax planning.
Mr. Boyd received his undergraduate degree from Duke University (B.A. 1973, with honors). He received his law degree (J.D. 1976, with honors) and his master of laws in taxation (L.L.M. in Taxation, 1977) from the College of Law at the University of Florida. Mr. Boyd is the recipient of the highest rating (AV) from the Martindale-Hubbell legal rating service. Prior to entering the legal profession, he worked for the National Tax Department of Ernst & Young in Washington, D.C.
